Hi ,

I am using torrents for downloading games like Watch dogs , Battlefied etc. which are huge size files. I get download speeds like 6-10 mbps.

The problem is that the file is downloading for quite some time (10 mins). After that Internet disconnects and I have to restart the system to begin the download. The whole process is Repeated every time i download with speed in MBPS. (10 minutes download & restart)

For any downloads that gets me MBPS download speed this internet Disconnection is Repeated.

There is no problems when i get download speeds in KBPS.

I use USB GIGABIT Ethernet adapter.

Looking forward to the Response......:)

I think this is the wrong forum for torrent trouble shooting.

EDIT: To vaguely answer your question, sometimes when your internet gets too stressed it will just disconnect from everything to save resources. When i upload a youtube video i lose connection to literally anything that isn't youtube.

Hi Deniedstingray,

Thanks for your Help. I also face the same issue while uploading videos to Youtube. I use torrent more frequently to download anything. I want to know fix for this , as this Internet disconnection issue has been happening more often

.

Honestly, i don't know if there is a fix. Im no expert in this field but i believe you would just have to get better internet, What package are you signed up for now? (Up/Down Speeds)?

EDIT: Just found this in a thread from 2013, Give it a go and let me know what happens

"Go to Start > Control Panel > Network Connections > Right Click Your Network and Choose Properties > Advanced Tab >

Now Just Make SURE both boxes under Internet Connection Sharing are NOT Checked. (if the one on the bottom is, check the one on the top then uncheck the bottom, then uncheck the top)"

Given the high likelihood that the torrenting involves software piracy, it's time to close this thread.

The OP has had enough advice to work with and I'll just add that the problem might go away if the data are genuine games coming strfaight from the developer's own site.

Sounds good.
