Internet Dropping Out Every Day

Hello.
Since about 2/3 weeks ago, my internet has been dropping out for about 10 minutes 1-3 times a day. I find it really annoying since I play a lot of online video games.
I cannot give you the exact router, but it is a Netgear one that is slightly old.
I have rang up our ISP and they are going to take a look at it in a few weeks, but in the mean time is there anything I can do to troubleshoot or fix the problem?

If it is wired, and every device is having the same issue, then it is either the modem/router, or something outboard that the ISP controls.

Sometimes it could be the line coming in to your house, or the line going in to your modem/router.

But the real question that needs to be answered is, the device that's getting the internet dropped, is it on WiFi or LAN, or is it network wide?

It is lan, but every device is having this problem.

Fixed!
I change my MTU to 1492 and my Ip to192.168.2.1
and worked as a charm
