Hello everyone. I've used this forum for years and have always managed to find answers to my drops simply by reading a post made by someone else, but in this case im having no luck, so finally registered to ask you guys for help !

I updated my PC to windows 10 on the 29th , and for the 1st few days i had no issues what so ever. However now, whenever im say Playing a game and watching youtube or netflix my net will drop and can only be fixed by a restart. It "seems" ok if I am just doing 1 thing at once, say on this very forum for example, but if i opened a few windows now and started streaming something it would for sure drop. My internet is 100mb fiber optic, and all other devices connected to my hub are fine (PC is wired connection, this is the only thing having a issue, i have a wired xbox one which is fine, and wireless works perfect.)

I've tried ipconfig/flushdns - did nothing
I've tried swapping my settings to google ( 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4) - did nothing.
I've even tried turning off firewall as i saw someone say that could cause this issue - did nothing.

I'm all out of ideas now and would love some help if anyone knows what the fix may be. I know i could just roll back to windows 7 and that would probably fix everything, but i really like windows 10 and would rather fix it if possible.

Thanks again

John

Solution
Hi John

I was wondering if you have already tried this:

> Open the Run command box. (Press Windows + R keys together).

> In the available field, type %TEMP% and hit Enter.

> From the opened folder, remove all the objects. (Press Ctrl + A to select everything and then hit Delete.)

> After this, restart your PC and then try again.

If the issue persists, you may want to restore Windows 10 to July 29, 2015 when your computer used to work fine. You can learn how to restore Windows 10 to an earlier restore point by following the instructions given under the Restore from a system restore point section in this post.

Hope this helps. :)

Good Luck!!.

Solution
Hi Viveknayyar007, no I had not tried that. Sadly it didn't work, but thanks for taking the time to reply and offer another potential fix.

I'm now fairly sure the problem lies with the Virgin Media superhub, as I decided to plug my phone into my PC, at which point I was able to to blast out a crazy amout of Internet related stuff. I was streaming 3 YouTube HD clips, netflix, connected to a online game and reading a website (did it just to prove to myself it's not windows 10 that's the problem). With my "superhub" my Internet stops working if I open 2 Web pages at once.... It stays connected to the hub, just with no Internet. Virgin will blame anything down to the alignment of the planets before they accept they are at fault.
