I think my IE is somehow corrupted. I cannot get into the internet. My
question i : how do I delete Internet Explorer?
I am using IE 6 with updating. I have a disc version of ie.exe
but cannot use it because it sees my updates as being the latest version.
My thinking is if I can delete the currecnt installed version, I can load my
disc version and update it.
Your help appreciated
Bill

If your problem is caused by hijackware (likely, given the little bit of
info posted), reinstalling IE won't help: Hijackware infects the Operating
System (Windows), not the browser.

Since you have SP2 installed, try this:

Start > Run > (type in) cmd > OK

In the Command window, type

netsh winsock reset

Hit ENTER key, close the Command window and reboot.
