Internet From A Mile Away

Looking to connect to my friends internet thats about a mile away, Ive heard it may be possible with a long range antenna of sorts but how would i go about doing this? What would i need to uby and how much would it cost?

Do you have a clear line-of-sight between the two locations? If not, then just forget about it....
