Internet has "downgraded" after factory resetting modem?

I factory reset our modem little over a week ago, and since then it feels like our internet has "downgraded" for lack of a better word. Before I had factory reset our modem, I was easily able to stream things at 1080p, now I can't even watch a livestream or quickly load a youtube video in 720p. I'm stuck at barely loading/streaming things in 480p now.

I'm also experiencing large ping spikes (from 9ms stable to anywhere between 120-600ms in games such as League of Legends, Counter Strike etc) whenever I change a YouTube video or even if a song changes on Spotify. I've also noticed that if I do load a video, I won't be able to load a different video in a different tab at the same time because of how slow they'll both become.

Another thing that I've noticed is that if someone is watching Netflix, my download speed caps out at around 250-250 kbp/s while my regular download speed if someone isn't streaming is usually 1.2 - 1.4mbp/s.

I know an obvious answer would be to try factory resetting it again, which I will do. But I'm just super confused and struggling to understand how our internet has "downgraded". So any help at all would be really appreciated, thanks!

Currently using NBN FTTP
Router: D-Link Dual Band Wireless AC1200 Gigabit ADSL2+ Modem Router
ISP: iiNet

All quite normal.

When you reset the router -- which of course interrupts your internet connection --- your ISP's monitoring equipment assumes that the data throughput is unstable, consequently your speed is reduced to improve stability of the connection. It will eventually get back to normal (assuming no more resets or loss of service) but that could take weeks or months. Contact your ISP to have it re-adjusted.

thanks for the info, I guess I'll give it a week or 2 to readjust, if it doesn't I'll just call my ISP and see what's up. Thanks! :)
