I am currently using an Eero wifi hub and sometimes i'll run a speedtest and i'll have upwards of 400mbps but when i'm downloading games on steam for example It'll not even get past 900kbps on average, however when I first installed the wifi hub I was downloading games at 60+mbps, is there a way to make it more stable? like any settings that I can change to make it consistant, because I am getting crazy rubberbanding is some games that are more taxing on latency.
I have also tried plugging an ethernet cable from the wifi hub to my pc but that doesn't seem to change anything

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

Include PSU: make, model, wattage, age, condition (original to build, new, refurbished, used)?

Disk drive(s): make, model, capacity, how full?

List of all connected peripherals.

Wired or wireless network?

Make and model: modem, router, or modem/router if combined.

When you say you plug a ethernet cable into a wifi hub do you mean you plugged it into the main router or are you plugging it into some remote mesh/repeater unit that connects to the main router via wifi.

Wifi has all kinds of strange issue. Most are interference from your neighbors. A lot of people who buy eero stuff are running mesh repeaters. Improper placement of the remote units tends to be a major cause of issues.
