It started recently but my internet would suddenly lost connection and say it's "limited", but then when i go to network settings and disable the network, then re enable it, it works fine again. This is quite annoying and I would like to figure out what's wrong!. My motherboard did not come with a wireless card so i had to get a TP-LINK Powerline Adapter. Is this the problem maybe?

Powerline adaptors are great for speed when you can't run wire, but they are susceptible to interference. If its possible for you to plug in directly to your router bypassing the power line adaptor I would try that first and see if the issue repeats itself. It probably will not, but if it does then report back and we can continue to troubleshoot.

I would but the problem is that the modem/router are on another floor than my PC is, so I have no choice but to use wireless internet. And my family wanted to avoid the trouble of having to wire internet through the floors.

Totally understandable. Is there any way you can hook it up for testing purposes (for like an hour or two)? How often does this happen? In that vein another thing to consider is when it does happen is there something related. For example maybe when someone turns on the washing machine you lose connection.

Its also possible the power line adapter is going bad, how long have you been using it?

The weird thing is that it's totally random. Even when I am the only one using the internet in the house it can happen. I've been using this adapter for about a year now. I will try to hook it up and try and let you know.

Edit: I've actually just read around and someone said that if you plug an adapter into a extension block because it causes problems. I actually have one of them plugged into an extension block, so i'm going to try plugging it directly into a wall socket.

Yes that will definitely do it. I had assumed you had these straight into the wall.
