Okay, so out of the blue, I can't connect to any website other then Google, Facebook, or Youtube. I can google my problem, but can't click on the links it provides. I found a temporary workaround for now, but would like to fix this
Okay, so first I checked for viruses - lo and behold, there they were. I scanned with malwarebytes, 360 total security, and superantispyware. Cleaned it up really nicely,
Then I checked the host file (it's what the internet said to do) but there was no additional websites after the "#" like there's supposed to be.
I cleared all browser history and cookies. Rechecked for viruses, rebooted several times (which is a temporary fix that doesn't always work).
I found a workaround - using a vpn seems to have solved the problem, but how do I fix it at the root?
