You should log in to the web interface of the xFinity router/modem. Then dig through the options to find your connection diagnostics. It should list such as your signal strength. I don't mean signal to your PC you're on Ethernet. But the modems signal to them. The same may be done if you switch back to your modem. As the modem doesn't seem to be the issue.

If you just got a straight modem and are using a router of your own. You'll need to connect directly to the modem to view the web interface for it.

Also if they installed a signal booster for your cable lines. You'll need to locate that. Then make sure your modem is on the modem lead or not connected to the booster at all. As the booster can interfere with cable modems. Causing...
