Router: Verizon Quantum Gateway
Connection: 1 Gbps ethernet cable
OS: Windows 7 Professional SP1, Linux (Kali)
Description of problem: The internet connection stops working for 10-20 seconds every couple of minutes. Computer is still connected to LAN and router, but cannot connect to websites or games servers.
What I did before the problem started: I installed Linux (Kali distro).
Things I've tried:
Running ping google.com -t
Results: 0% packet loss after 1 minute
4% packet loss after 3 minutes
8% packet loss after 5 minutes
Restarting router: no difference
Restarting computer: no difference
Changing OS: no difference
Running ipconfig /flushdns: no difference
Any ideas?
