[SOLVED] Internet problems after new modem/router

I've had to change to a new modem and router because of the previous one being apparently "unsupported" by Spectrum in a soon date. For reference, I house my PC in my room upstairs while the router and modem are stationed downstairs next to my dad's PC. Regardless of the new modem and router, he's seen the typical 200mbps we're paying for. I've always had lesser speeds because we have an ethernet cable that runs upstairs into an ethernet switch, I'd say <100mbps at most. But after setting up the router/modem given to us by Spectrum to change into, I haven't seen anything more than 25mbps on my PC upstairs and, again, my dad sees the same 200mbps. Not only would I like any suggestions to why my speeds are even worse now, but if there's any other red flags + the following info;
The ethernet switch I'm using is only a fast-ethernet switch, so not even gigabit anyways AND all the ethernet-connected devices upstairs run off that switch.
Granted my speeds would, of course, be limited considering the fast-ethernet switch in use. But am I wrong to believe that 25mbps of the 200mbps that my dad's PC gets is a little outrageous? Is it simply the new modem/router at fault? Would a gigabit switch even help considering how low the speeds are? Could the ethernet cable being ran from the router downstairs to upstairs simply be faulty or even too long? I'm really just looking for any suggestions, possible answer, etc. FYI I'm not very knowledged with networking in general, so please correct or excuse any basic information I may be missing or ignoring. Again, any suggestions and help would be greatly appreciated!

Solution
I'm sure it will get moved by a mod. :)

In the meantime, I would get a cheap gigabit switch to replace the fast-ethernet one. Not only should it solve the issue, but will give you too 200Mbps speeds. :)
I APOLOGIZE because I've seen I posted this in the wrong topic thread. I've had an account on this site for a while but I'm not entirely used to using it and only appear for any questions I may have that I couldn't find answered. If anyone can inform me on how to move this thread or potentially have someone do it for me, I'll gladly appreciate that as well! Sorry.

Just got a gigabit switch today (pretty cheap 8-port one for only $20) and it fixed it! Currently seeing 230 mbps down, faster than ever before! Thanks, I figured that could help not limit it but didn't think I'd essentially see faster internet than my dad's PC next to the router 😀
