My PC has used wifi, been hardwired into the modem, (currently has) a usb ethernet adapter, and all options result in the internet going out sporadically throughout the day for a few minutes. I've updated my router firmware, the firmware of the modem, and installed the drivers for my usb ethernet adapter, and the internet connection still breaks out randomly, sometimes requiring a PC restart. Other devices in the house, such as my iPad pro and phone (samsung s9+) don't seem to have the issue. My roommate's laptop (an older Lenovo) also don't experience the same frequency of downtimes. I feel like it's something incredibly simple I'm overlooking, or something needing money to fix.
