Hello all, we recently upgraded our wireless internet speed which required that we get a new router. I have gotten every computer in the household, except one, connected to the new router with no problem. The computer in question has Windows Vista Business Edition and instead of just asking for the internet password when choosing our router/connection to connect to it requires that we enter "User Credentials". This consists of a Username, Password, and Log-on Domain.

I have no idea what to do. Every other computer only asked for a password. I have tried numerous combinations of usernames and passwords but nothing has worked. I am totally computer illiterate and welcome any and all help. Thanks!

The account I am logged in as is the administrator. I do not know how to check if my PC is in a Domain.

Start / Computer (right click, select Properties) Section with the computer name will also say if it is in a workgroup or apart of a domain. Select the Change settings on the right and switch it to a workgroup, it will require a reboot and likely a system password

It is already in a workgroup.

I do not know how to check, but I believe it is set as home network.

It does not list the network because I can not connect to it on this computer. When I click on my network to connect these are the dialogue boxes that pop up:

There are two pictures in that link.

wow... I am at a loss here. Must be a Vista Business specific thing. I've used XP Pro, Win 7 Pro, and now Win 8.1 Pro without any issues... I stayed as far from Vista Business as I could, and now it seems with good reason.

There may be a registry tweak out there. I just do not know it.

Well that sucks. I really do appreciate you taking the time to try and help me though.
