Hello there!

I have been trying to enable Internet sharing using two W2k profesional workstation computers. One of them has the dsl conection and I'm trying to deal with it but no luck. I tried to enable ICS on the Locan LAN conection and it says it's not conected when I know I can see the everything is fine. Eventhough the DSL accepts the Sharing the other computer cnat acces the internet. Any help from veterans is greatly appreciated.

Get a router.
The Linksys BEFSR41 is like a hundred bucks, features an okay firewall, NAT, DHCP and a four-port switch, and is configurable with a web browser. I have used it and have found it to be very good.

did that actually answer his question?^^^^

try, punching in the local ip adress manually. that should get them to read each other and help u to surf
also check in services and make sure that ics is enabled and set to manual... actually got mine to work by turning it to automatic... or release the nic card on both reboot adn see if it kicks in then.

OK man you sound more reasonable.

I need to know step by step on how to make this work man, because I am clueless! Remember that I have two W2K machines and they see each other just that I cant surf in the second one. Thanks for your time. =)
