Internet shutting itself off when I play games

I have this problem to where whenever I open a game launcher or a game it shuts the network down completely. It's to the point where when I play a game like on steam the WiFi on my other devices also shut down I have to shut down steam and wait 30 minutes before the WiFi is useable again. Someone please help

What happens when you try to play with all other devices shutdown?

Your router's logs may offer some clue if logs are available and enabled. Who manages your network router?

You will need help from that person to access the logs.

To access the logs you/someone must have administrative rights to your router.

Normally you use a browser and the router's IP address to open the router's administrative log in webpage.

Then you enter the applicable login name and password.

My guardian is the admin and he doesn't want me messing with the router. Are there alternatives?

Nope.

Your guardian has reasons for not wanting you to game.

My recommendation is that you sit down with your guardian. Work out some agreement and rules regarding the use of the router and being able to game.

Make a bargain and then hold up your end of the deal.
