Internet slow when PC turns on but then speeds up

Whenever I turn my computer on my internet speed is very slow (1mbps). Then after about 30 minutes to an hour it returns back to normal speed (40mbps). The only solution I have come up with is to leave my computer on 24/7. This only affects my download speed. My upload and ping are constant.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Are you using a wireless USB adapter to get internet or do you have an Ethernet cable plugged in?

do you have cloud backup or other cloud related software ruining on your PC, like google drive, dropbox, one drive?
