My PC at home has an internet speed of 250 mbps. Recently I had trouble downloading some files and decided to try on my laptop (that I usually only use at the office) with the exact same ethernet cable and got a speed of about 500 mbps. What could be the reason why my PC runs at a slower speed than my laptop? I have tried resetting my network settings, reinstalled drivers, downloaded NetLimiter 4 and I don't notice any apps using bandwidth on my PC. What I do notice is that the ethernet connection has a different name on my laptop than my PC. Am I supposed to change it somehow?
