My phone has fast speeds not my PC, my PC is way slower. Have you got this the wrong way around or am i just confusedWhat kind of phone do you have?
Your phone's wireless network adapter may only support certain speeds, also WIFI vs ethernet have a significant difference. Ethernet will most always have a better throughput connection being it a direct connection as long as the cable isn't super lenghtly and the ethernet adapter, cable, and router/gateway/switch all support the latest speeds.
Ethernet cables are extremely short on both ends, TP says up to 600Mbps on the box, unsure on the cables speed, and the ethernet goes directly to my motherboard port from the tp link. This is the tp link im using: https://www.tp-link.com/uk/home-networking/powerline/tl-pa4010-kit/Thinks to consider:
How long is the ethernet cable? Off the top of my head I can't think of how long a cable can be before the speeds start to drop, but I do believe it is VERY significant.
What cat type is the cable? (older types only allow up to specific data speeds)
What data speeds does the TP Link switch support?
Is your computer's ethernet port coming from the motherboard itself or some other ethernet adapter?
What are the speeds it supports?
These questions can help you to locate the bottleneck in your network connection I feel.![]()
So most likely the TP link itself is the issue, its plugged into the mains so doubt power would be an issue. Would the best option just to use a straight ethernet cable from the box to my PC, it would be annoying and run through the middle of the room but easily possibleWith it being utilized through your power circuit that could be your bottleneck. You may have some signal interference occurring, but in most cases you will not see very good throughput using a powerline network. See this reddit post from a Network Admin professional below

I would recommend doing it as a test first. If there's no difference; then your bottleneck would not be the TP Link, but I would say it is the most likely root cause. So most likely the TP link itself is the issue, its plugged into the mains so doubt power would be an issue.
