Internet speed on PC much slower than Ipad

After building my pc and running a speed test I'm getting 8mb/s download speed and on my ipad I get 30. I don't know what's causing it. The wifi card installed in my pc is the TL-WN951N

Is your PC far away from your router?

What is the speed from your ISP? What speed are you getting on the iPad? Can you use a wired internet connection and see what speed you are getting?

Not to far away I get good connection on all other devices in the same room

I get 30mb/s on my ipad in the same room. Wireless is not an option as my pc is on a different floor to the router

I think you have a crappy WiFi card.
