Got a letter from my isp saying they were going to bump my speed 6x and add a buck to the monthly bill.

Seems like a deal.....now I'll wait for this to happen and see what kind of a mess it makes.

Just for the record: who is your ISP?

What service levels/speeds do you have now?

Do you have means to test upload and download speeds?

E.g. Speedtest by Ookla?

Start testing and keeping a log to determine if anything really happens....

15Mbs now moving to 100Mbs.
Yup ookla is my tester but I have to wait for the isp to get off their duff.

OK, that's easily believable.

Over the years, my FIOS connection went from 15/15, to 25/25, 50/50, 75/75, now 100/100. I requested none of those changes.
For basically the same price.

I suspect the isp got tired of dragging along my old/old pkg along with all the new fancy stuff their selling.
