Hi there. I got weird issue, idk how to fix. It was happening for some time now, but today i think i finally noticed a pattern. My internet stops working for few minutes if i open firefox web browser. Like for example i started downloading the game on steam today, everything seems fine and all, its downloading,i open firefox and them boom, download speed literally plummets to a zero. Websites on the firefox don't work either, if i go to youtube, i literally get error message to check my internet connection. Then PC winds up for few minutes, and everything seems to work again. When i noticed that internet disapears when i open firefox, i tried to do same with chrome and it had no effect on my download on steam.

If you were to go and download another common browser or use (presumably) Edge which is baked in, does the issue occur with those browsers as well?
Just did my typical routine. After restarting the pc, i went to play my game for a bit, turned off the game, then went to open discord, and isntead of firefox, i opened edge this time. Everything was fine. So i decided to open firefox now. This time it was much shorter than usual, just like 1 minute of the same problem, but it still happend, download on steam imediatelly plumeted, websites werent responding in both browsers, like my internet was gone totally even if for a shortwhile.

I am not personally as informed about Firefox, as I don't use it. Is there an option within the browser to reset defaults, as it were?

It would seem (to me) that if this was a "global" issue then Edge would not have worked properly. I guess that something got erroneously clicked, cat on the keyboard, etc. See if that nets a positive result. There may also be something in the firewall blocking access, but TBH that is above my pay grade.

Have you attempted to ping 8:8:8:8 from Firefox (Google)?

What game? Source?

Make and model router (or modem/router if combined)?

The router's logs (if available and enabled) may provide some clue.

Who has full admin rights to the router? You will need help from that person.

There seem to be some issues with Firefox recent versions and hardware acceleration. Try to disable it and see if it improves anything (cost nothing to try). Just open Firefox, go to the browser settings and scroll down to Performance. Uncheck "Use recommended performance settings" and then uncheck "Use hardware acceleration". Close Firefox and do the test again.
