[SOLVED] Internet stops working when talking on phone

Not sure how to go about this but, whenever my girlfriend receives a call and answers, my home internet stops working. Any help would be appreciated thanks!

If you have DSL, sounds like you have a malfunctioning DSL filter. Assuming a land line.

If you mean her cell phone, well, then you may need to configure your wireless router to another channel. Assuming wireless connection.

If you are wired to the modem, and it is a cable modem, can't see that happening.

May want to list out everything from the devices and connection types and your ISP.

I believe I am using Cable with Spectrum Internet. The internet only shuts off when she receives calls, not anyone else. We all have iphones, but I am with Verizon and she is with T Mobile

Could be a problem with your router, can you access your router with an username and password?

Try another chanel to see if problem persists.

So for the options to change the channel for 2.4 and 5 Ghz does using the Ethernet port on the router use both channels?

Not all routers act the same way, you should try both 2.4 and 5Ghz.

What kind of phone is this. What does it connect to. Is it a cell phone or a cordless phone that connects to a regular phone line.
