Internet working on Linux but not on Windows 10

So today I built my new PC but upon booting I could find no way to get the internet to work through my ethernet cable.


I've installed the drivers for the motherboard.
I've tried reinstalling Windows 10.
I've tried a few things I've seen around the internet but had no luck.

The strange thing about it is when we tried booting the system in Linux instead the internet worked just fine.

Anyone got any ideas?

update the bios to the newest version then reset it to factory default. also check that the io shield not shorting the port out.
