Hi,

I'm having a bit of a strange problem, the internet in my house is working fine for the most part but there is a lot of trouble with the network itself. Wireless devices will conflict with each other and sometimes cannot connect to the router at all, when they do connect certain sites don't load on them (imgur for example) and will drop connection. I have a main computer which is connected via Ethernet to the router which is unable to load the router login page, but pinging the router in command prompt is fine.

The Main Wireless devices are:
Motorola Moto G3
Lenovo Flex 14D

I am unsure of the network cards in these, sorry.

The router is a:
TalkTalk Huawei Super Router HG633

My onboard network adapter is a:
Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller 2
on a Gigabyte H110M S2H Motherboard
on Windows 8.1

I have screenshot of both Ipconfig and my network adapter which shows internet access on an ipv4 connection but no access on an ipv6 but I'll wait until they're requested rather than edit out information now.

Any help is appreciated

Sounds like your IP address for DHCP includes the IP address of the router. If the IP of the router is 192.168.1.1 then the IP range should be 192.168.1.2 - 192.168.1.255. You could try reserving IP addresses for each devices or set static IP addresses manually on each device to avoid IP conflicts.

Thanks for the replies.

I have reset the router a few times but the problem always seems to come back, it's more of a short term solution.

Setting static IP's may the be solution but I'm unable to login to the router to set them

I've done a factory reset and I am able to login to the router again, I think Schwattz was correct by saying Routers IP was in the DHCP table. Normally after a reset the issue comes back after a few days, Any recommended guides on how to set static IP for all network devices?

Thanks for the help so far.

You'll want to set the static IP address "out of range" of the DHCP IPs so you will have to shorten the IP range for DHCP. You'll want to leave some IPs for DHCP if any guest devices need to use your network as it is a hassle to configure static IPs all the time. If the router is connected to a modem, make sure the modem and router do not have the same IP. There could also be a problem with the NTP server so the router's IP leases might not be in sync.

Hi,

When I woke up this morning the same issue was back, my wireless devices were limited and I couldn't connect to the page, I had to unplug the router so that I could login to it. I had a look at the DHCP table after a factory reset but I can't see the issue.

The router is assigned 192.168.1.1 and the DHCP range is 192.168.1.2 - 192.168.1.254. DNS is set to automatic and the lease is for 1 day.

Just to update this I've spoken to my ISP and they told me the problem was my wireless connection and wouldn't take no for an answer. After telling them numerous times the issue is with the router they walked me through unplugging the router and then adding "-5g" at the end of my 5GHz wireless connection and they've now marked my issue as solved. So they weren't really much help at all

Update 2:

Spoke to another agent this morning with my ISP as the issue was back again. After explaining countless times my wired connection connection couldn't access the login page he walked me through the longest process to change a wireless channel I have ever seen, he then marked the issue as solved and disconnected.

So I'm still having the problem and my ISP is no help at all.
