Question Interpret HWINFO64 data on old PC ?

I recently have resurrected an old FM2 desktop and I was running HWINFO64 to get some diagnostic data to save. Now I got confused with the temps for CPU.

The AMD A8-5600K shows two temps CPU (Tctl) current 10'C, min 8.8'C, max 58.5'C, ave 17.4'C

and CPU Package (TSI). current 58.1'C, min 57'C, max 107.5'C, ave 65.3'C.

For the AMD A8-5600K, what is the normal, average and high temp that we should know?

I also ran AIDA64s GPGPU Benchmark and as it ran, the temp in CPU Package (TSI) were current 67-79'C, min 57'C, max 107.5'C, ave 65.3'C this was for the R7 240 gpu.

When the CPU was benchmarking, CPU Package (TSI) were current 73-91'C, min 57'C, max 107.5'C, ave 65.3'C

If I will rely on the CPU Package (TSI) as basis for being high temp, are the temps current 73-91'C not normal?

I'm an old guy and could not discern the data. Can you help.me.please? What should I be looking or be checking so as we will have an inkling that the CPU temp is above normal or is too hot?

We are using the stock fan that came with the CPU. We have a deep cool gammaxx s40 cooler here but I have not yet used it and opted to use the stock fan first.

The old desktop is with 32gb ram, R7 240 series gpu, AMD A8-5600K with the stock fan, Gigabyte GAF2A75MD3H mobo. My nephew needs this pc for school work and we can't buy or build a new one for him at this time thus we have resurrected it. Please have patience with me and hope for your help here.

Thanks!

AMD CPUs can be misinterpreted. I would recommend AMD Overdrive if you can find a copy. Overdrive was unusual in that it showed a thermal margin (amount temps could go UP without an issue).

So sorry for the late image. This was taken earlier and I hope this helps more. I wasn't able to get the proper image yesterday. I am typing via Android phone and I have fat fingers.

Hi Sir,

Thanks for reply. Where can I get 'Overdrive'? Is it available in the AMD website? Thanks again!

Hi Sir,

I downloaded The AMD Overdrive from Techspot v4.3.10698 but I encountered an error during install. See image below.

I also used the DeepCool Gammaxx S40 now and compared the results given by HWINFO64.

While I am waiting on a fix for the AMD Overdrive install error, and base on the new results, did the temps decreased?

AIDA64 and CoreTemp says that the max for the Tctl is 80'C. Previous data is 102'C. The new is 88.3'C.

Can you comment on this Sir and thanks for your patience. Very much appreciated!

Forgot to add that when I checked the BIOS the CPU temp was lower too at around 37'C - 40'C. I remember that it was around 47'C - 51'C. The other thread was a good read but got me confused as I am not into gaming and my nephew too is not into it. He is more into mobile gaming (good thing). Hmm...really need to get AMD Overdrive installed but this error hinders me....
