I just built a new rig - except used my old ssd. The first boot was fine but now I can't access my desktop. Right before windows 10 loads I get the error mentioned in the title and it restarts and the same thing happens again.

I suspect it's because I haven't had a chance to install any of the drivers for my new parts. Installing drivers from safe mode doesn't work and trying to boot from a via USB w/ windows 10 to do a repair only gives me the message "Remove disk or other media. Press any key to restart."

EDIT: I managed to get to my desktop a few times but promptly crashed with the error "Special pool detected memory corruption". A few minutes later I was able to get on for about 15 mins, installed a LAN driver for my new mobo, and as soon as I plugged in my Ethernet cord I crashed with the original error "interruption exception not handled" and I'm back in that error loop when I restart and try to get to my desktop.

EDIT 2: I only get crashes now when I plug in my Ethernet cord (can't connect via wireless for some reason) and when I try to install my motherboard drivers.

Would be eternally grateful for any help!

always start with the basics...

1- clear the bios to default settings...refer to your motherboard manual

2- unplug and re-plug all power connectors

3- if you still have issues then remove everything except the video card and 1 stick of memory and try again to boot...if it still doesn't work re-seat your CPU, GPU, and memory and try again...if it's still no good swap the memory stick for another one...if it's still no good youve got bad hardware or incompatible hardware - did you use the motherboard website to check for compatible memory ?

if after stripping the system down to basic components it lets you boot...then one item at a time add the other parts back in until it fails and you will have identified the bad / suspect item...

good luck

It's been great at not crashing randomly and I can stay on my desktop for as long as I want (and even play games).

But whenever I plug in my Ethernet cord it crashes with the same error msg. Same thing happens when I try and install my motherboard drivers. I've never encountered any issue like this before.
