The mounting holes for 1150, 1155 and 1156 is the same. Even if it says "only" 1150 compatible in the article, it means that's its for all the 3 sockets.

It only pushes 160W in dissipation which is pretty low compared to (in your sig) Hyper 212 Evo so OCing would be harder.

If you want red just get a Noctua and then some red ring Corsair SP fans. Or a H100i and change the LED to red like I have right now.

So does anyone know what makes one HSF having lower temps than another?
Let's say two HSF from two different manufactures. HSF#1 can get the CPU down to 30C and HSF#2 can only get it down to 35C. If both look similar to one another, then what makes HSF#1 getting better temps?

The real question is whether it's better than the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo/Duo coolers which cost about $30.

It's very THIN so even with a good fan the cooling under load may drop off. I've seen LOTS of these types of coolers come and go.

People simply won't pay a premium unless it's worth it, and why should they?
