I was trying to do a clean installation of win 7 on a new Samsung 840 Pro 256 gb and the power went out. When I tried again I got the message that there was no bootmgr. Is it now a brick? thanks
You may need to reset your bios/clear your cmos. If you power up the computer and get to your boot menu, you should be able to select your usb or DVD to restart the installation.
It sound like the machine is trying to boot from the SSD, get into your BIOS and make sure your USB/DVD is before the SSD in boot order and just start the install over. And no, this shouldn't have bricked anything
