I recently upgraded my mobo for my pc and today I went to plug in ethernet to test my wifi(I’ve been using a WiFi card), I noticed that the ethernet port wasn’t fitting the cable and I noticed that the prong slipped into the port while I put the mobo in,I bent the prong our wards so that I can plug the ethernet cable in,should I take the mobo out and bend it back or is it fine if I just leave the prong bent out? Will it cause damage to my Pc?

it should be fine.
it could hurt the next person who unplugs the cable, tab under a nail ouch.
it will not damage the anything as long as it is not connecting any wires/contacts, which it is not.
Well the prong was in the port until I pulled it out and bent it,I plan on taking my mobo out tomorrow and putting the prong on correctly,I am just afraid that when the prong was in the port it could’ve damaged it.

yes putting it back would be the best.
the prong would have been in contact with the top of the jack, not where the contacts are but where the locking clip is. there should be nothing there to damage.
it is working now yes? no issue then
