Iomega external hard drive on two computers

I plugged the iomega external hard drive used on one Mac computer into a second Mac computer and now it isn't recognized on either computer. I wanted to copy data from the second one onto the first computer. Did I corrupt the driver? Do I download a new driver?

Did you make sure it was powered off before unplugging it from the first one?
Open Disk Utility and see if it shows up there.

I'm sure it was powered off. This morning it shows on the computer after I've had it plugged in for about an hour, with a couple unplugs. During the hour the light was blinking continually. The back up utility said there was no disc. After the last unplug, the dialogue box came up and said I should power off before unplugging. So I plugged it back in and it showed. I'm not going to use it on the other computer after this. Thanks for your response.
