so, this is one from the way-back machine.

I have an iomega ix2-200 NAS that I need to recover the OS after a two drive failure. I have all of the files from a long time ago to do the job but have forgotten a few steps.

Questions:

1 - what format do the replacement drives need to be in? I think gpt or just unallocated?
2 - I have the following files that I found tucked away on one of my HDD's:
ix2-ng-4.1.408.34845.tgz, ix2-boot.tgz, files.tgz, b2a-4.1.414.34909.tgz, imager.tgz, init.rd, zImage

I am not sure what files go where on the USB although I know that I need to create a USB fat32 stick with the following folders in it - emctools and images.

This has been a very long time since I have had to do this and my original USB stick is gone.

I would appreciate any help with this that anyone remembers. Thanks!
