IP address cannot be configured

Hello,
I recently upgraded from windows vista8 to windows 7 and i used to be able to log onto linksys wifi connection from my labtop. But with the new upgrade I am not able to and keep getting the error message telling me ip address cannot be confugured, although if i go to a library and sign on as a guest I am able to. What can i do to solve this problem?

Check if your lynksis model is compatible with windows 7. If so, it might need a firmware upgrade. good luck!
