Hi, I just bought a cctv ip camera. But I struggle to put it up on my network. My router is a Zyxel-2812HNU-F3 version and running an IP of 172.xxx.xxx.xxx. And my Ip cam, has an ip of 192.168.1.10. So when i try to connect the IP cam in the CCTV cms and installation, it will not connect. It just says that "Device not found". And when i go to the camera IP, is says "page not found" in the browser. The IP cam is connected to mye Zyxel router. And my computer is also connected to the same router.

System information:

Router:
Router Ip start at: 172.xxx.xxx.xxx
Router ip pool starting adress: 172.16.xxx.xxx
Pool size:150
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0

Ip cam:
IP:192.168.1.10
getaway:192.168.1.1
Subnet:255.255.255.0

Can somone help me, or give me some tips? I would be grateful if someone could help me. :)

This is when i find the cam in the setup CMS of the cam:

Solution
Give your computer a static IP on the 192.168.1.x subnet. You will loose internet connection but it's only temporary.

Then modify the IP settings for the camera to your 172 network. It should work now your computer and camera are on the same subnet.

Then change the computer back to DHCP.

Enjoy your camera.

Helo,

Uhm, the IP start adress is 172.16.0.50 and the IP pool is: 150.

It dident work to change the cam IP, see the picture below.

This is when i is going to config it:

What is it, that I do wrong? And why is there a problem to change the ip address of the ip-cam. Is very grateful for any help.

That is strange. There must be some trick to change the IP address. You would think it would be as simple as change it and then reconnect with the new ip. Unfortunately how exactly this works is going to be up to the camera maker. If it continues to fail you get the even worse option of changing your router ip block to use the same one as the camera.
