I have installed new ip cameras at my business, 16 total with the NVR at the office. From building to building is 450ft to 500ft. I ran Cat6 for my wiring however my furthest camera is 950ft. 9 cameras at the 450 to 500ft range are working great. What can i do to get the rest to work that are over the 500ft range? I am powering all cameras locally so i would not need POE switches, but still not getting anything over 500ft. Suggestions please.

You are massively over the limits for ethernet. 100 meters (ie just over 300ft) is the limit. If you get it to work at all it is purely by chance. It technically is not suppose to work but you hear of some equipment working. Even within the same type of equipment you will get variations based on particular chips that happen to be in some units.

There really is no way to make recommendations when you are operating outside the designed limits.

To do this the way you are suppose to you would need a switch placed at the 100 meter point to regenerate the signals. This is not always possible because of the ability to get power. Normally you would use media converters on each end and run fiber when ever you need to go past the 100...
