I am trying to set a cctv up using 3x HikVision cameras, Synology NAs using DS cam.

I connect the cameras to my router via a 5 port Netgear Switch. When I do the wifi is visible but no devices can connect.

I am a newbie on this subject.

They are HIKVISION® DS-2CD2232-I5.

As soon as I plug the switch in with the cameras attached wireless is visible but not accessible by any device either the password is incorrect or unable to connect.

You should be able to just connect a laptop to the switch -- leave it disconnected from the router -- and get to all the cameras. You will have to set a static IP address on the laptop since the router isn't available for DHCP.
Do you have the cameras set to DHCP or are they set to static IPs? Did you verify that they all have unique IDs and that they don't conflict with your DHCP addresses or your router?

Your cameras are different than mine (Foscam), but to initially set them up I had to plug them one at a time into the router. While connected via ethernet to the router, I had to go to a setting in the camera's menu to turn on WIFI. I believe this is the point in the process that I had to enter my Wireless Network Key (sticker on the side of the router). Then unplug from the router, re-boot camera and it connects via WIFI.

Looking at the data sheet for those cameras, they have no WIFI capability. So they can't connect to WIFI and they can't interfere with it.

Are you using a POE switch? Is it possible that you are feeding POE back to the router and that is causing problems?

Not a problem
