Hello, I am hosting a dedicated server for CS:GO from my home. I would like to change the IP that people need to connect too to protect my home IP.
Is their anyway that I can do that? My OS is Windows 7, and I run everything from steamCMD

Solution

To be honest a firewall and all ports closed you should be fine.

I have a dynamic IP, I would like to keep my current one; but I want to have a different IP that people connect too when they connect to my server. Any ideas?

Not possible, your outward facing adapter (WAN) gets it's IP from your ISP. If you reboot the router you will receive a new one. What you are asking for is 2 IP addresses, this isn't impossible but not logical for your use.

Would it be dangerous to have people connecting to my server with my IP?

I very much doubt, if its a domestic router, that it supports VLAN or VLAN tagging. If you have set up port forward correctly the only time you have open ports is when the application opens them. Sounds like you have messed with someone online and they are threatening you!!

To be honest I havent messed with anyone, my gf gave me a computer for my birthday and I've already built 2 others... So I decided to turn it into a server system just too run some games off of and a teamspeak server. I am new to server admin and doing things like this, so I always like to look into any risk I may encounter :sarcastic:
