iPad refuses to charge

1. Are you using an official charger (no adapters), there are reports of problems associated with 3rd party ones causing slow charging etc.
2. Check the charging port with a flash light, make sure there is nothing in there blocking it up.
3. Does it turn on when connected to the mains?

1: I'm using an official one.
2: I've cleaned up everything inside, still same problem.
3: Connected to mains?

Also, i've managed to charge it. Sometimes it want charge, sometimes doesn't. Currently it's started to charge when i lifted charging cable a bit.

Hi, sorry in the UK we says connected to the mains to mean plugged into a wall socket. I was asking if you could turn it on and use it when connected to a power socket. 🙂

If it charges when you 'waggle' the lead it sounds like it isn't making a great connection. If you have an ipod and ipad do you have two chargers, can you try the other cable? I have had a phone that would only charge if you propped the cable in socket because my daughter slightly damaged the port when she yanked the cable out so the port was slightly wider. My wife also had a Samsung that was difficult to charge because the pins had slightly tarnished ( I don't know if this was water damage).

Just tried cable that came with my iPod, still same problem.
