iphone 3gs texting photo not working

When I try and text a photo the option is greyed out and when i go onto the sms/smm there is only a word count on/off slider

Your phone is no longer supported (and hasn't been for years), so it's possible there's a bug or your ISP dropped SMS support for your model. Try restarting the phone to make sure it's not a temporary glitch
