Your second statement proves your writing without any merit whatsoever. If you bothered to read any review at all, you'll know that the lumia 1020 is considered the best smartphone camera, not including that freaky Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom.

This whole "Apple put 64 bit because phones will have more than 4gb soon" idea is bs.
The whole point is is that APPS will be able to use more than 4gb per app.
The os itself will be able to access more than 4gb (PAE style).
Now, the day our apps will use more than 4gb is a LONG way away.

What's the RAM on the Note 3? 3Gb! So when the next Samsunt top tier phone lands it will most likely have 4GB of RAM, so it will make sense using a 64-bit OS. Apple didn't even stated the RAM on the 5S so they aren't ridiculed. There's a lot of disadvantages in having a 64 bit OS, specially on a system where the RAM and user space is limited. Not only are the applications larger in space, the memory requirements are also increase because of larger pointers,...

"Apple says the A7 in the iPhone 5S is twice as fast as the A6 in the iPhone 5 and 5C."
If Apple says so, it must be true... LOL.
Benchmarks? Whaaaa?.........Nah, take our word for it.

x64 in a mobile platform...weird. I will be interested to see it in action to see how much day to day benefit we get from that proc. I was actually hoping they would shoot for battery efficiency on their processor/OS optimizations this time around. Don't get me wrong, 10 hours is great but Exchange Active Sync combined with normal daily use means I charge every day. I am intrigued by the fingerprint scanner, but it isn't a game changer for me personally.

Kudos for bringing us new silicon, give me a little more battery life and a higher res screen next year Apple and I'll give you your 2 year allotment of my paycheck.

Not true; Nokia does not implement their sensor to yield raw 41MP smartphone camera resolution for bragging rights; they actually make good use of the extra pixels for noise-reduction, over-sampling, and low-light enhancement (f-number and image size aren't the only important factor for low-light image quality). I would still state that there's no way this updated camera will hold a flame to the one in the 1020.

Oh, Vlad, I wonder if Sammy had brought out a 64-bit Exynos you'd be objecting so much 😉

I remember when people were crying about all the memory 64-bit programs would require and OMG, how awfully big everything would get and how we didn't need no stinking 64-bit or gigs of RAM... BWAHAHA

All these objections are old news - We've heard them before when we moved from 32 to 64 bits on the desktop. It's coming and honestly it should have happened on the Android front before iOS because as we both stated Samsung (and other products) are shipping with RAM that nearly hits the 32-bit ceiling today!

The rest of the excuses that applications are larger, and memory requirements increase are all moot as we've managed to get to 64-bit on the desktop (with a lot of pain) and the sky hasn't fallen. OH, the HUMANITY, LAARGER PROGRAMS AND MEMORY REQUIREMENTS... Which are all offset with by better ISAs =ARMv8 😉

Oh yeah, we'll see that (hopefully) with the next Exynos unless they plan on making a 16 core on the same A15 architecture.

The point is give them (Apple) credit - If Google's Android or Sammy's Exynos had been first to this, you'd be all HARD with love for Google, but finding issues with a good move makes all these excuses sound like whiny fanboy comments 🙁

I hope that Android hits 64-bit with 5.0, It will be fun when I replace my Nexus 7 2013 with a 2014. I also hope they fix the ridiculously broken updating system that requires manufactures to roll them out instead of Google. If M$ can do it on Windows running on a bazillion types of hardware, Google can do it for Android. If Google doesn't then Samsung is gonna bail on Android and launch Tizen 64-bit... No more Google love... OH NOES, SAD FACE... This is if Sammy hopefully made Tizen 64-bit.

Now go back to making fun of Apple, it suits ya :)

Your memory is failing you old timer, the Pentium Pro was never 64 bit, Intel went mainstream x64 with the Pentium 4 and before that only Itanium CPUs were x64 but not the same x64 we have now.

Well apparently you have found the only 2 bachelors degree having cnc programming tree stump in the world. Apple lies through their effing teeth to market anything they produce, it's a fact. They always hype it up and hype it up and then it comes out and gets it's ass kicked by the competition... You might want to come to grips with it, I'm sure your parents are becoming very worried seeing a new slit on your wrist every time the new iphone drops.

This thing is a cool step in a new direction for phones but as i stated in this thread and others, apple has a nasty habit of greatly exaggerating their performance claims, sometimes just blatantly lying outright as about 98% of their consumer base are very tech illiterate and wouldn't notice anyways. This is why I will wait till it drops and is reviewed and benched and all that.

Not that this new phone is everything all hoped for, but it's funny to see how many Droid lovers come here to start trolling over and over again. Tell me, if Samsung came out with a 64 bit phone would you not be running to sites like this to rub it into iOS lovers faces? It's OK, I know most will not answer that honestly. Instead you all come here to say how you don't really need it anyway and thumb down anyone who does not agree or join in with the little trolls. Funny how you all act like Apple fan boys just blindly follow (and some do I will admit), but by definition isn't that what an android does?

Crap, you're right! :) Damned Pentium something or other.

The point is that it takes time to move everyone over to 64-bit.

BTW, Samsung just announced they'll have a 64-bit Exynos with their next chip launch...

Just a quick little thing but you do all realize that ARM released the 64 bit CPU less than 2 years ago right and you do know how long it takes to get it working how you want yes? Apple was just the first one to get it done since their release cycle means they get there first, the rest of the companies were planning on the same thing. None of this is Apples doing, no one is following them they are all following ARMs release cycles and nothing more. If ARM does not do it none of them will either, it's none of this Samsung following Apple or Apple following Samsung they are all following ARM.
