Iphone 5s won't do anything

So my friend gave me his old 5s and all he said was wrong was the BSOD (blue screen of death). I plugged it in to my PC and it said usb device not recognized. I tried holding power and home and nothing. Power for three seconds and home made the PC say the same thing. I really need help!

So they said that the phone did not work, and the phone does not work. Seems normal. Phones don't have BSOD's but they do crash. Aside from the phone not being seen by the computer, is it working? You can try using DFU mode https://www.theiphonewiki.com/wiki/DFU_Mode

No DFU mode is not working

If you can't get it connected with DFU mode, there is an issue with the device, it may be as simple as the port is bad or there is an issue with some chip on the system board.

Does it work OK aside from not being able to sync to the computer? Does it charge OK? What if you do a factor reset on it?
