Hello everyone.
I just built a new computer and had several issues such as my GPU not being detected but I finally solved that and now I have another issue. When I try to charge my iphone 4 through the front USB port it keeps connecting and disconnecting repeatedly but it charges fine through the back ports. I have been able to connect other devices using the front USB port such has my flash drive and wacom tablet. My iphone charges fine through the wall ac adapter and it also works on my laptop.

Here are my specs:
CPU: intel core i5-4460
Mobo: ASRock H97m Pro4
GPU: XFX Radeon r9 280
OS: Windows 7 home premium
HDD: 1 TB
RAM: 8GB
I'm using a typical wired mouse and keyboard.

Please help. I want to make sure that the usb ports on my new computer are working properly.

Solution
Thought so. It's the usb 2.0 port, and they're most of the time lacking the ability to charge or work "properly" on more delicate devices on the front panel, mainly when You're not running some 200-300 euro motherboard that is. So it's okay. Btw. probably some pampering around in BiOS settings, or drivers could solve the problem, but since it's being charged up by usb 3.0 and works as well, I see no reason.

I have the Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-01 Mid Tower Gaming Case.

I just plugged it into the other front panel USB port and it seems to be charging fine. Only one of the ports is having issues with my phone.

Thank you so much for the quick explanation! Glad to know that my USB ports aren't malfunctioning. I'll just charge it in a different port.

Cheers!
