Iphone X Display has black spot that is expanding, Need help!

Hello,

2 days ago, my iphone X got dropped from about 4 feet height with screen facing the ground. After picking up the phone I noticed that there was a black spot on the top right corner of my phone. It was not very big in size but it is actually expanding. In 2 days, it has almost expanded by 0.5 cm in diameter and by searching some on the internet I found out that it will keep on expanding until it covers the whole screen.

Now, a solution I came across on internet was to dip my phone in Rice for 24 hours and see if this expanding black spot disappears. I want to know if that really is a viable solution here? And also what are my options if that rice solution is not for me.

I don't want to replace my screen as it is going to cost me over 350$ and its a new phone

P.S: Its not in warranty or accidental coverage or any king of insurance (a relative from abroad brought it so I can't really claim the warranty).

Rice helps with moisture absorption, not physical damage (from the fall).

You are going to have to replace the screen. Sorry.

Thanks for the answer colgeek, so you are also of the opinion that this black spot will keep on expanding until it covers the whole screen?

Maybe not the whole screen, but a large portion of it.
