IPIBL-LB graphics upgrade

I have an old hp m9340f desktop pc

-Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700
-8 gb ram
-750 gb hdd
-650w psu
-Radeon xfx 5770 1gb
-IPIBL-LB - MB

I am wondering if a gtx 670 or a rx460 2 gb/4gb would be compatible with my pc MB, ive done very basic modifications so im not exactly sure about all the compatibility specifications when it comes to my bios and other things however im pretty sure the 2.0 or 3.0 cards will work backwards with my 1.1 can anyone clarify? Please let me know if you need any additional info. Thank you any help is greatly appreciated.

the 670 is faster

it should work, make sure your power supply has the proper pcie cables for it
