[SOLVED] iPod shuffle and Windows?

My Apple ipod shuffle 4th gen does not show up in iTunes? Anyone can anyone suggest a troubleshooting methodology I would appreciate it.

Apple Genius Bar. Or new device which does not depend on proprietary technology.

All I needed was a new OEM cable. Works perfectly now.
