Ipod touch disabled & not recognized on comp

Hello, i have a ipod touch3 8g and my friend put the wrong password in which then disabled it. Now that ive got around to trying to fix it it wont come up on the laptop.
what can i do ??Thanks for all your help

Do you mean your laptop does noot detect the iPod when you plug it in? Check drivers are installed, check Apple and iPod services are running. Try re-installing iTunes latest version (10.5.1)?
