Hey guys
I need a new monitor, gaming on it and such(I know, ips for gaming whuut), but i cant seem to find the best of the best for me.
I am on a budget, and was going to go for Acer H236HL bid, disgustingly good price, so good. But it doesnt have displayport, which i would like to use(amd freesync is apparently support over the cable and not the monitor?)

So something with a good panel, 23/24/27", preferebly 23&24", support for displayport, and 1080p? one of the nice things about the acer one, is that it is glass and NOT plastic. I would have to say, for another panel it would just be a nice feature, as i do not see many monitors with glass.

Summing it up

23-27" monitor(must)
IPS(must)
1080p(must)
displayport(must)
Glass instead of plastic panel(optional)
good mount(optional)

I do have a budget, but i can extend it, and i have no clue on what this would cost, so i cant give you excact number. So something acceptable for the price i would say, not too expensive, but definitely not missing out of the must features.

Thanks in advance

well it is not quite that simple, the monitor still has to support it... AMD is using the Blank Intervall timing thingie of the displayport standard to do the syncing and while the timing intervall has always been in the standard they are using it in a new way that isn't supported by most of the current monitors. So the monitor has to have firmware that knows how to handle it properly and you need to be using display port connection to make it possible in the first place.

freesync is still in early stages and not public yet and as far as I know no one has actually announced monitors supporting it... but since it doesnt need any extra hardware the monitors shouldn't be much more expensive, maybe just a little for that extra feature.
