(TLDR: I'm looking for a laptop similar to the 15.6" Dell Inspiron 7567, but with an IPS display. Do you have any suggestions?)
I'm thinking about upgrading my laptop from a Gigabyte P15f to the 15.6" 1080p Dell Inspiron 7567. This is mainly due to the incredibly bad battery life of the P15f which I thought I could cope with, but which I now find quite annoying.
From what I've read, the Inspiron seems to be exactly what I want, as I don't really need stellar gaming performance (I've got a decent desktop pc at home). It's mostly for college work, with some light gaming during holidays at home.
The only drawback to the Inspiron seems to be the bad quality display. This could be a deal breaker for me as I've gotten quite used to the IPS display on the P15f and would like something similar.
This finally gets me to the question: do you know of a laptop similar to the Inspiron which has an IPS display? I don't mind if it's less powerful, but I cannot afford much more that the Inspiron.
Alternatively, do you know of a 15" laptop with a decent display and integrated graphics only? This will save me the hassle of getting graphics drivers working on Linux.
