I know the image overexposes the glow to an extent but I need some feedback since I really don't know if I should return this or keep it. It has no dead pixels which is great but the glow has me concerned. Is this excessive glow for an IPS?

It also has those black spots in the bottom right and left corners of the screen that make the glow uneven and somewhat cloudy.

It's a dell u2419h with 45 brightness and 75 contrast.

Solution
That looks normal to me. And considering IPS glow is really only a problem when viewing a monitor in a dark room, the easiest way to not notice it is adjust the ambient brightness in your room.

If you demand viewing dark content in a room with no lights, then you'd have to get an VA panel or OLED display.
