I have been looking at two dell monitors which are both 1440- and 27 inches but they are very different in their own ways, one of them (Dell S2716DG) has G-Sync but is a tn panel and the other monitor (Dell U2715H) which doesn't have G-Sync but is an IPS panel i will be using the monitor mostly for gaming. I have watched reviews on the tn panel and people say how good it is but everyone always mentions how the colours are not as good as an IPS and i'm just curious as to how much better IPS colours are and if its worth sacrificing the G-Sync and 144Hz refresh rate for better colours. Thanks for all the help in advance and all opinions will be appreciated

ps, There is no specific reason the monitors are dell but they are the cheapest monitors in the UK for what i have been looking at thanks

All up to you. I personally use only IPS, but that's because I do photo and design work. For gaming only a decent TN screen should be fine, though you might be able to get g-sync+ips (not 144hz though) for about the same price
All depends on what you'll be doing and how well you can run it. If you're playing at high quality with >60fps using something like a 980Ti, might as well go with IPS unless you need the 144Hz (FPS games). If you're always at ~40fps, g-sync might help reduce tearing without additional input lag

The frame rate will not be a problem and i am planning on playing fps games like cs and BF1 when it comes out. The real question im trying to ask is i'm wondering if IPS colour so much better than tn colours that it would be worth it to sacrifice G-Sync
